About Our Books

The National Yiddish Book Center’s Steven Spielberg Digital Yiddish library is now online! The full texts of nearly 11,000 out-of-print Yiddish titles have been posted by the Internet Archive, and may be viewed, downloaded or printed, free of charge. You can begin your search of our collection at www.yiddishbooks.org.

Many of the titles in our digital library are also available as used books. Most are shelf-worn but sound and complete; sometimes the paper is yellow or brittle. Although not always suitable for the rigors of library use, used books are often an excellent value for students.

Every title in our digital library is also available as an on-demand hardcover reprint. Our reprints are printed on acid-free paper and sturdily bound, and are often clearer and easier to read than the originals. Large print is available on request. Used books are priced at $12 per volume and reprints (other than yizkor books) at $48 per volume. Titles from our yizkor book collection are $120. Current National Yiddish Book Center members receive a 25% discount on used books and reprints. Please note that membership is available to individual customers only, not to institutions.

Shipping fees start at $7, plus $1 per additional book for domestic shipments. International shipments start at $20, plus $2 per additional book.
