Save the date! Week-long Yiddish language program, March 16-21, 2014

Whether you know a bisl Yiddish or none at all, you’ll enjoy a week of language learning, sing-alongs, lectures, workshops, and performances – a celebration of Yiddish culture! Asya Vaisman Schulman, Director of the Yiddish Book Center’s Yiddish Language Institute and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Hampshire College, will teach the beginner class. Yuri Vedenyapin, veteran Yiddish teacher and performer, will teach a class for people with some background in Yiddish. Visiting scholars and musicians will round out the program, along with congenial conversation, kosher meals, and more.
