Internship in Jewish Oral History

Intern at work in the editing studio.

The Yiddish Book Center’s Wexler Oral History Project seeks paid interns for summer 2015!

Interns work at the Yiddish Book Center, located on the Hampshire College campus, 18-40 hours per week, for the months of June, July, and August 2015.

The internship has three tracks: interns will work primarily on the technical aspects of the project (editing and uploading video footage of interviews) or the cultural content (time-coding full-length interviews, identifying interesting clips, and curating video material to make it more accessible to viewers in our online archive). Applicants with a strong background in both film editing and Jewish history and culture will be able to work on both the cultural and technical aspects of the project. Yiddish-language interns will work on processing, translating, and subtitling those interviews conducted in Yiddish. Interns will work closely with the Project's Technical Assistant and Director.
