Christa's Profile

I started out my story with the Yiddish Book Center back in 2007, as an intern.  Back then, we were shlepping books every afternoon in a ninety-something degree warehouse!  I returned in 2009 as the first fellow in the still shiny-new Fellowship Program.  As a staff member since 2010, I direct the Wexler Oral History Project and coordinate the Cowl Jewish Leadership Program.

Ikh red yidish, ober ikh bin nit keyn yidishe!

Activities and Interests

In my spare time, I like to dance, read, and cook.  On and off, I also research the intersection between Spanish and Yiddish-speakers in Latin America, most recently in Argentina.
