Zvi Jankelowitz, Director of Institutional Advancement
Before joining the staff of the Yiddish Book Center, Zvi headed his own fundraising consulting practice, The Jankelowitz Group. He was the director of institutional advancement at the Harvard Museum of Natural History and also served in director-level positions at Cohen Hillel Academy, American Friends of Israel National Museum of Science, and The Rashi School. He holds a BA from Bar-Ilan University in Israel and an MA from Brandeis University’s Hornstein Program in Jewish Professional Leadership.

Joanna Hejl, Development Manager
Joanna has previously worked in development at culture and history organizations in Nebraska and Virginia. She holds a BA in American Studies from the University of Richmond and an MA in History from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Outside of work, she is a local historian of western Massachusetts’s historic houses and their owners.

Brianna Burdetsky, Development Assistant/Donor Research and Events
Brianna holds a B.A. in English from George Mason University and an M.A. in Medieval and Renaissance Studies from Columbia University. Her academic background is in linguistics and comparative literature, with a focus on Middle High German and Old Yiddish. She previously worked as an editorial and events assistant at Moment magazine.
