About the Great Jewish Books Lecture Series

Presented live each month via Zoom and recorded for future viewing

The Great Jewish Books Lecture Series gives learners of all ages the opportunity to delve into great works of Jewish literature with top scholars in the field. Each month, a speaker presents a virtual talk on an author or work, followed by a Q&A with the audience. These talks span a wide variety of literary subjects, presenting works written in many languages from classic Yiddish texts to contemporary Jewish American writing.

Lectures are presented on Zoom and streamed live to the Yiddish Book Center's Facebook page. They will be recorded and made available on our website for future viewing.

No advance reading is required for these programs. For fans of the Center’s educational programs, or anyone eager to engage with Jewish literature, these lectures offer a taste of the breadth and depth of the Jewish literary canon.

The Great Jewish Books Lecture Series is made possible with the generous support of the Salkind Family Foundation in memory of Marilyn Salkind.
