About Weekend Programs

During weekend programs at the Yiddish Book Center, adult learners explore topics in modern Jewish history and culture. Led by scholars, authors, and cultural commentators, these programs include lectures, discussions, readings, films, special exhibits, and more. They also include kosher meals and plenty of informal conversations, as well as time to tour the Center’s museum exhibits.

Past programs have focused on a diverse range of subjects, including Ladino language and culture, Yiddish in the Soviet Union, Jews in Latin America, and the lives and works of Yiddish writers Sholem Aleichem and Chaim Grade.
