Which great Jewish book will you read?
To help celebrate the Yiddish Book Center's upcoming Great Jewish Books Summer Program, we've created three versions of the classic origami fortune teller that will tell you the next great Jewish book you'll be reading next.
Just download one of the three PDFs at the bottom of the page, print it out, and follow the folding instructions on the bottom right-hand corner of the paper. When done, the classic fortune teller rules apply: pick a color and shift the corners by the number of letters in the word; pick a number and shift the corners that many times; then pick a number and lift the paper to reveal your book.
Want to read more great Jewish literature in a beautiful setting with college faculty and prominent visiting writers? Then be sure to apply to the Great Jewish Books Summer Program, a five-day program where rising high school juniors and seniors read selections from important works of modern Jewish literature and consider how they speak to the opportunities and challenges we face today.
It's a lively program full of social, cultural, and recreational opportunities—and no grades—for students who read for the love of reading and who are eager to discover the treasures of the Jewish canon. And every admitted participant receives a scholarship for the full cost of tuition, room, board, books, and special events.
