Women and Modernity

This collection highlights the diversity of women’s voices throughout the history of Yiddish literature, from the work of Glikl of Hamel, considered the first Jewish woman to write an autobiography, to the erotic poetry of Celia Dropkin and the Introspectivist, possibly genderqueer work of Anna Margolin.
