Hear the story of Mundek Lukawiecki and his wife, Hannah Bern, who hid in the forests and fought the Nazis with Polish partisans. Mundek not only employed his bravery and cunning but also his Leica camera, giving us a rare glimpse into partisan life. This documentary is directed by Ruth Walk and is in Hebrew with English subtitles. 54 minutes. This event will be in-person at the Yiddish Book Center.

About the Filmmaker

Ruth Walk graduated from the Sam Spiegel Film School (1993) & Hadassah College, Jerusalem (1988). Her films have earned international acclaim, airing on various international broadcast stations and winning awards. She earned the Art of Cinema Prize 2003–4, Jerusalem Cinematheque, and The Landau Prize 2007–8, for Excellence in Documentary Cinema.
