A Celebration of Avrom Sutzkever's Yiddish Poetry

Recording from February 20, 2022 of a special live virtual event celebrating the Yiddish poetry of Avrom Sutzkever in conjunction with the U.S. West Coast premiere of the film Ver Vet Blaybn? (Who Will Remain?) at the 32nd annual San Diego International Jewish Film Festival. Featuring Dr. Justin Cammy, Hadas Kalderon, Christa Whitney, Emily Felder, Sasha Hoffman, and Jana Mazurkiewicz Meisaroish. The program explores Avrom Sutzkever’s poetry in its historical and literary context, his importance as a public figure and representative of Yiddish culture in Israel and around the world, and his lasting legacy in Yiddish and in translation.

This event was a collaboration of the Lawrence Family JCC's San Diego International Jewish Film Festival, the Yiddish Book Center, Yiddish Arts and Academics Association of North America (YAAANA), and Yiddishland California.
