Pakn Treger: The Magazine Of The Yiddish Book Center

Features

Officially founded in 1914, the Montreal Jewish Public Library (JPL) served in the post-war years as the city’s foremost Yiddish cultural center, sponsoring artists and activists of all ideologies. Now we have an opportunity to digitize and restore 1,500 reel-to-reel recordings from that period, including interviews with major Yiddish writers of the 20th century.
