General Interview Questionnaire

Do You Have Stories to Share?

The Wexler Oral History Project wants to hear them. While we are primarily interested in Yiddish language and culture, we are open to stories that reflect the fullness of modern Jewish identity from a wide range of viewpoints and backgrounds.

If you'd like to be interviewed for the project, the first step is to fill out this pre-interview questionnaire. The information you provide will help us tailor the interview to your unique life experience and allow us to do research in preparation for the interview. The more detailed you are in your responses, the better prepared we can be.

Please complete and submit the form below. We'll be in touch about scheduling an interview.

If you have stories specifically about the Yiddish theatre, please instead fill out the pre-interview questionnaire for our Yiddish Theatre Stories interview series. If you are the descendant of a Yiddish writer, please fill out the questionnaire for our "Beyond the Books: Yiddish Writers and Their Descendants" series.

Learn more about the interview process on our FAQ page.

Interview Details
If you would like to share these during your interview, please make sure to have them on hand at the time of the interview. As we are not conducting in-person interviews at this time, we ask that you also email us photographs or scans of the letters, photographs, or other documents, if possible, so that we can include them on your interview page on the website.
Please add anything that you would like us to know about you.
