Israeli Yiddish teacher, Hanna Palmon, describes the Yiddish translations of classic world literature by her father's cousin David Moyshe Hermalin. Adapting and condensing the stories to fit Jewish audiences, Hermalin was a prolific Yiddish translator who was enthusiastic about educating newly-arriving Jewish immigrants.
