Remembering Yiddish Actors Yankev Waislitz and Rokhl Holtzer

Watch now:

Paula Boltman, former actress in the Melbourne Yiddish theater, shows a photograph from and recalls a particular play she performed with the well-known Yiddish actors Yankev Waislitz and Rokhl Holtzer. She then goes on to explain that while she didn’t perform much with Yankev Waislitz, she was very close to Rokhl Holtzer, who, without children herself, considered Paula a daughter.

This is an excerpt from an oral history with Paula Boltman.

Paula Boltman was born in Hamburg, Germany.
