Ricki Greenblatt, former Camp Kinderland counselor and chorus singer, recalls living in the Bronx with her family and their boarder, Yiddish children's author Chaver Paver (Gershon Einbinder). Chaver Paver based the characters of his book "Labzik: Stories of a Clever Puppy" on her family and the family dog.
